Church Chatter – Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Church Chatter, including our websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Church Chatter is a platform and brand owned and operated by ChurchMe LLC (“ChurchMe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services unless use is supervised or authorized by a parent, guardian, church, or organization in accordance with applicable law.

By using the Services, you represent that you are legally permitted to do so.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account security

  • Protecting login credentials

  • All activity occurring under your account

  • Providing accurate information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Church Communities & Organizations

Churches, organizations, and administrators using the Services are responsible for:

  • Content they upload or manage

  • Communications sent through the platform

  • Obtaining permissions and consents from members

  • Compliance with applicable laws

  • Moderation and management of their communities

ChurchMe LLC acts as a platform provider and is not responsible for church-managed content or communications.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate laws or regulations

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others

  • Upload unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or obscene content

  • Impersonate another person or organization

  • Interfere with platform operations

  • Attempt unauthorized access

  • Distribute spam, malware, or phishing content

  • Infringe intellectual property rights

  • Use the Services for fraudulent activity

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access at our discretion.

6. User Content

Users retain ownership of content they submit to the Services.

By submitting content, you grant ChurchMe LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Services.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit such content.

7. Giving & Payment Information

Church Chatter may support donations, giving, or payment-related features through Stripe Connect and related payment providers.

Payment information is processed securely by Stripe and related payment processors. ChurchMe LLC does not store full payment card information.

We may collect limited transaction-related information such as:

  • Donation amount

  • Transaction metadata

  • Connected account information

  • Payment status

  • Billing-related information

Church Chatter charges a 0.7% platform fee on donations and payment transactions processed through the platform. This platform fee applies to both card payments and U.S. bank account (ACH) payments. For U.S. bank account (ACH) transactions, the Church Chatter platform fee is capped at a maximum of $5 per transaction.

In addition to Church Chatter’s platform fee, Stripe and related payment providers charge separate payment processing fees. As of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy, Stripe’s standard U.S. pricing generally includes:

  • Credit and debit card payments: 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction

  • ACH / U.S. bank account payments: 0.8% capped at $5 per transaction

Stripe’s pricing, fees, and terms may change at Stripe’s sole discretion. Current Stripe pricing information is available at:

Applicable fees may include, without limitation:

  • Church Chatter platform fee: 0.7%

  • Stripe credit/debit card processing fees

  • Stripe ACH / U.S. bank account processing fees

  • Payment network fees

  • Banking and transaction-related fees

During checkout or donation flows, users may be shown the total combined processing and platform-related fees applicable to the transaction. Depending on the selected settings, donors may be provided the option to voluntarily cover applicable fees during checkout.

8. Availability of Services

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update portions of the Services at any time without liability.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with third-party providers and services.

We are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, or policies.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services at any time, including for violations of these Terms.

We may remove content, communities, or accounts without notice.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChurchMe LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChurchMe LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages

  • Consequential damages

  • Lost profits

  • Data loss

  • Service interruptions

  • Unauthorized access

  • User content

  • Church communications or actions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to ChurchMe LLC during the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChurchMe LLC and its affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Services

  • Your content

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of applicable laws or rights of others

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in applicable courts located in Delaware unless otherwise required by law

15.AI-Generated and Automated Content Disclaimer

Certain content, messages, notifications, summaries, Bible trivia, recommendations, and communications made available through Church Chatter may be generated, assisted, or distributed using automated systems or artificial intelligence (“AI”). AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information and may not always reflect correct theological, biblical, factual, or contextual interpretations.

Church Chatter makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated or automated content. All such content is provided “as is” for informational and engagement purposes only.

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Church Chatter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, dispute, offense, misunderstanding, or reliance arising from or related to AI-generated, automated, or algorithmically produced content, communications, or recommendations made available through the platform.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.

Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
